I am a good person with a problem. I am an unhappy clown. A sad clown is simply not funny. Why am I sad? It is a dirty 4 letter word: DEBT! My debt currently sits at the ugly number of $20,000 from a student loan to get education to better myself and from credit cards which were used to keep myself going when income was not enough. Now I am so far in debt, I have no idea how I will ever pay it off on my own. That is why I decided to ask for help and it is the reason for this website.

In my business of being a professional clown as well as aspiring actress it is vital that I be happy. Since having all the pressure of this debt weighing me down, I feel anything but happy most of the time. This is definitely impacting my job and my income.

I also do a great deal of charity work in places such as hospitals and enjoy working with children to make their hospital stay a little less sad. To do this well, it is important that I myself am in a good mood in order to lift theirs. Without the debt, my happiness will much easier to maintain so I can do more good for the kids. Any amounts received, I am sending 10% of to the following charities: Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center, Ronald McDonald House and Mother Hale Center so that it is not just about me.

It is written that if you ask you will be given what you ask for, if you seek, you will find and if you knock the door will be opened. I want to believe that there are enough good and generous people out there with a dollar or two (or more) to give. With 20,000 people contributing one dollar, or 10,000 sending two dollars I will meet my goal to be totally debt free and that will definitely make me smile again.

Ultimately, my goal is to move forward with my career so that I can do even more to help others, especially children. I am also determined to learn new skills financially so that I do not ever find myself in this prison of debt again as well as pass on information to others on how they can avoid my current situation.
